Urja Global’s net profit climbs to USD 78,000 in fiscal Q4
May 30, 2014 - Indian renewable energy company Urja Global Ltd (BOM:526987) said Wednesday it had boosted its net profit to INR 4.6 million (USD 78,000/EUR 57,000) in its fourth fiscal quarter through March from INR 2.2 million a year back.
The company produces crystalline photovoltaic (PV) modules, develops solar power projects and provides services to the thermal and hydropower sector. It booked a profit from operations before other income, finance costs and exceptional items of INR 4.5 million, doubling from INR 2.3 million in January-March 2013.
Still, revenues in the period under review declined to INR 312.9 million from INR 328 million a year before.
Urja Global closed fiscal 2012/14 with a net profit of INR 8.4 million, up from INR 7.5 million in the previous fiscal year. Sales remained almost unchanged at INR 1.14 billion. At the end of March, it had total assets of INR 1.2 billion.
