Turkish Zorlu Enerji signs 56.4-MW PPA for Pakistani wind farm
Dec 22, 2011 - Turkish energy producer Zorlu Enerji (IST:ZOREN) yesterday said its Pakistani arm had signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) for the output of its 56.4-MW wind power project in the county.
The company has signed the 20-year PPA with National Transmission and Despatch Co (NTDC) and the Alternative Energy Development Board of Pakistan.
The USD-144-million (EUR 110.5m) wind farm is under development and will produce 159 MWh of electricity when in full operation, Zorlu Enerji calculates. The project will be the first wind farm in Pakistan, Zorlu's president Murat Sungur Bursa said.
