Turkey's attractiveness improves in E&Y renewables index
ISTANBUL (Turkey), September 16 (SeeNews) – Turkey moved up to the 20th position in the latest “all renewables” country attractiveness index by E&Y from 19th three months earlier, the consultancy said on Tuesday.
Turkey’s transmission company, TEIAS, has signed $350 million (270 million euro) in loan agreements with the World Bank to integrate wind into the grid and strengthen the network, E&Y said in its country attractiveness index report.
“China takes the top spot in the index, while Europe’s increasing renewable energy penetration prompts a focus on enablement. Island energy models signal that small is the new big", E&Y said in its quarterly report.
