Turkey's Anadolu Enerji, China's Talesun Solar set up Turkish solar JV
Chinese solar cell and module maker Zhongli Talesun Solar and Turkish energy firm Anadolu Enerji have formed a joint venture (JV) to carry out solar projects in Turkey, Talesun Solar Germany said.
The joint entity, named Talesun Anadolu Solar Enerji Uretim A.S., will also target to implement photovoltaic (PV) projects in Turkey's neighbor countries, Talesun Solar's Germany-based unit said in a statement on Thursday.
Turkey aims to have three gigawatts (GW) of installed solar power capacity as part of its target to source 30% of the country's total electricity generation from renewables by 2023. Installed PV capacity in Turkey totalled three megawatts by the end of 2012. It simplified licensing procedures for solar installations of up to one MW since April.
