Turkey's Aksa Enerji powers up 4.0 MW of 30 MW wind farm project

Turkish power producer Aksa Enerji Uretim [BIST:AKSEN] said Monday it has completed the first phase of its 30-megawatt (MW) Belen/Atik wind power project in the southern province of Hatay, putting into operation turbines with a capacity of 4.0 MW.

Aksa Enerji now has seven operational renewable energy plants with a combined capacity of 203 MW, it said in a statement on Borsa Istanbul.

The first phase of the Belen/Atik wind farm, located in the district of Belene, brings the company's total operational power generation capacity to 2,052 MW.

Aksa Enerji announced in August that it had obtained 9.3 million euro ($12.4 million) 10-year financing from local leasing company Garanti Finansal Kiralama to purchase turbines from Spanish wind turbine maker Gamesa for the 14 MW second phase of the wind project.
