Turkey remains SEE wind energy leader in 2013 - EWEA

Turkey's cumulative wind energy capacity rose by 27.9% to 2,956 megawatt (MW) in 2013 while it remained the country with the largest wind energy capacity in Southeastern Europe, data from the European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) indicated on Monday.

Romania kept its second position with cumulative wind energy capacity of 2,599 MW at the end of 2013, up 36.4% on the year, followed by Bulgaria and Croatia with 681 MW and 302 MW, respectively, according to data from EWEA's 2013 Wind in Power report.

In 2013, Slovenia installed its first 2.0 MW of wind energy.
