Nov 13, 2014 - Chinese photovoltaics (PV) maker Trina Solar Ltd (NYSE:TSL) said today it has supplied 28.5 MW of its modules for two solar plants in the UK.
US power producer Sustainable Power Group, also known as sPower, is developing one of the projects in question, while UK sector firm Camborne Capital is working on the other. Trina Solar did not disclose any further details about the two solar installations.
The Chinese company has delivered 105,560 of its 270-W monocrystalline Honey M silicon modules for the two projects. The plan is to install the solar parks by the end of March 2015 so that they are eligible to receive 1.4 Renewable Obligation Certificates (ROC) for each MWh generated.
Trina Solar expects to ship between 3.6 GW and 3.8 GW of its modules for the full 2014.
