Long-duration storage firm Energy Dome secures USD 11m in bridge funding round
Jun 30, 2022 15:00 CESTMay 20 (Renewables Now) - French multi-energy major TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTE) has signed an agreement to deliver 7.4 MWp of distributed generation (DG) solar projects for the Iberian facilities of lime, limestone and mineral solutions company Lhoist.
TotalEnergies will use more than 14,000 photovoltaic (PV) modules for this project, the company announced on Thursday.
The solar power systems will be installed at two sites in Spain – Navarra and Seville – and one in Portugal’s Santarem. These will be TotalEnergies’ first onsite DG solar assets for a commercial and industrial (C&I) customer in the region.
Thanks to the new panels, Lhoist's facilities will be able to satisfy around 30% of their needs for power and offset some 3,600 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions annually.
The systems will benefit from cleaning robots installed on the PV panels' surface to limit the soiling affectation and optimise performance.
