to-the-point: Univergy wins 9.5 MW of PV projects in Japanese auction

September 13 (Renewables Now) - Spanish-Japanese renewable energy company Univergy International SL said it was awarded four solar photovoltaic (PV) projects with 9.5 MW of capacity in total in Japan’s latest renewables auction.

The awarded projects are the 2.3-MW Hokkaido Otaru Momonai, the 1.1-MW Kagawa Takamatsu Nishikasuga, the 3.6-MW Kagoshima Sendai and the 2.5-MW Tottori Yonago Hikona.

Since 2012, Univergy has built more than 200 solar farms in Japan. The total capacity of projects either under development or those delivered to clients reaches 1 GW, according to the company.
