to-the-point: Suntech unveils completion of 8.5-MW Philippine solar farm
Chinese solar products maker Wuxi Suntech Power Co Ltd on Wednesday announced the completion of the 8.5-MW solar park in Valenzuela City, the Philippines.
The company has supplied some 32,000 pieces of STP260-20/Wem 60 cell polycrystalline modules for the project, which now represents the largest urban photovoltaic (PV) installation in the country, it said. The plant is intended to be sold to Manila Electric Co.
The facility is expected to produce about 11,379 MWh of power annually, or enough to cover the consumption of roughly 17,614 households.
