Japanese engineering firm Kyowa Exeo Corp announced today it has completed the construction of a 2.6-MW photovoltaic (PV) plant in the Chiba prefecture.
The Kyowa Ekushio Togane Solar Farm, as it is named, was built on a 43,230 sq m (465,323 sq ft) in Togane city and started selling its electricity on November 15, according to the company's press release.
With about 9,840 silicon solar modules, the PV plant can generate about 2.70 million kWh per year, equivalent to the consumption of some 550 local homes.
This is Kyowa Exeo second PV plant in Chiba, the first one has been operational since 2013 in Minamiboso.
