Danish firm Global Wind Service AS (GWS) said on Tuesday it has secured a contract to install Siemens Gamesa turbines at a 19.2-MW wind farm in Belgium.
As part of the deal, the value of which was not provided, GWS will install six units of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA’s (BME:SGRE) 3.2-MW turbines and will also deliver craning services. The equipment will be powering a wind farm that will be located within the premises of logistics company Katoen Natie at the port of Antwerp.
Preparatory works at the site have already been initiated, while main installation activities are scheduled to begin in October, GWS said.
