February 9 (Renewables Now) - US-based Clean Focus Renewables has put on stream six solar photovoltaic (PV) plants in Colorado with a combined capacity of 11.92 MW.

Clean Focus Yield Ltd, a unit of Clean Focus Renewables, will be operating the community solar gardens, while solar power developer Greenskies Renewable Energy LLC will take responsibility in their maintenance, Greenskies said on Wednesday.

Located on open land in Watkins, Aurora, Platteville, Sterling and La Jara, the solar systems will be capable of generating 23.8 million kWh of electricity per year, or enough to meet the demand of 2,213 households. These community solar gardens will bring green power to homes and businesses that cannot install their own solar systems. Instead, subscribers buy a portion of the solar output.
