to-the-point: China Sunergy bags 14.5-MW solar EPC deal in Philippines

Solar firm China Sunergy (NASDAQ:CSUN) said Thursday it will provide the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for a 14.5-MW photovoltaic (PV) park in the Philippines.

The PV cell and module maker has already inked an agreement with local renewables developer YH Green Energy Inc through its unit CSUN-Solar International Ltd. The latter is expected to kick off construction works at the site in the third quarter of 2015, while completion of the solar park is estimated for the first quarter of next year, according to the statement.

“This transaction demonstrates [China Sunergy’s] expansion in the south-east Asia market,” CSUN chairman and CEO, Tingxiu Lu, noted.
