to-the-point: China Longyuan's 2017 wind output rises 15% Y/Y

January 8 (Renewables Now) - The wind power production of China Longyuan Power Group Corp Ltd (HKG:0916) and its subsidiaries in 2017 registered 14.97% year-on-year growth to 34.45 million MWh.

According to preliminary statistics, the group’s total electricity production in the 12 months increased by 12.35% on the year to 45.58 million MWh, the power producer said on Monday. Generation from other renewable energy sources slipped by 1.83%, while that from coal increased by 5.36%.

In December alone, China Longyuan’s power output amounted to 4.52 million MWh, up 13.9% on the year, with wind power generation rising by 20.02% to 3.44 million MWh. Other renewable energy output improved by 20.66% as compared to December 2016.
