to-the-point: Canada's UGE wins USD-8.4m solar project in US

August 14 (Renewables Now) - Canadian solar company UGE International Ltd (CVE:UGE) on Monday said it has secured a contract for five rooftop solar systems in what is its largest US project so far.  

The order, worth more than CAD 11 million (USD 8.4m/EUR 7.4m), has been awarded by "a confidential US client."  

Under the deal, UGE, which provides solar to commercial and industrial customers, will develop, engineer and deploy the solar systems. It expects to carry out the work during the remainder of this and most of next year.
