Feb 6 (Renewables Now) - Spain-based solar trackers maker Grupo Clavijo has completed a 12.56-MW solar plant in northern Sri Lanka for Windforce.

Construction of the Solar One Ceylon photovoltaic (PV) facility in the town of Welikanda, North Central Province, took five months, Grupo Clavijo said in a press release on Friday. The plant uses single-axis trackers and 315/320 Wp polycrystalline modules made by Chinese firm JA Solar Holdings Co Ltd (NASDAQ:JASO).

Grupo Clavijo has manufacturing facilities and offices in the US, Brazil and Chile. It says it has installed over 1.2 GW globally, and has more than 600 MW of projects in development.
