Jul 19, 2012 - French wind energy group Theolia (EPA:TEO) reported today a revenue of EUR 35.8 million (USD 43.9m) for the first half of 2012, up 31% on the year.
The revenue from the sales of electricity for own account business totalled EUR 26.3 million, up 21% on the year.
As of end-June 2012, the company's installed capacity for own account reached 304 MW, versus 300 MW at end-June 2011.
The sales from the operation business came in at EUR 3.4 million, up 15%. The business benefited mainly from an improvement in production conditions in Germany.
The company said it will release its full first-half earnings on August 31.
Theolia develops, builds and operates wind farms in four main countries, France, Germany, Italy and Morocco. In total, the company operates 903 MW for its own account and for third parties.
Today, the shares in Theolia had jumped by 4.17% to EUR 0.75 on Euronext Paris at 0942 CET.
