(ADPnews) – Oct 4, 2010 – Italian alternative energy group TerniEnergia (BIT:TER) announced it had fulfilled in advance the 2010 targets having completed in the third quarter 18 industrial-sized photovoltaic (PV) farms of a 19.5 MWp combined capacity.
A total 6.8 MWp of the new capacity was built for joint ventures of TerniEnergia and the remainder was realised for third parties.
The new PV farms were developed in the regions of Apulia, Umbria, Marches, Veneto, Piedmont and Lazio.
Thus, the overall number of facilities built by TerniEnergia in the nine months of 2010 comes in at 44 for a combined capacity of 43.7 MWp. A total 22.4 MWp of those was built for TerniEnergia joint ventures and the rest – for third parties.
The total number of PV farms developed by TerniEnergia stood at 172 on September 30, 2010, for an overall capacity of 83.7 MWp.
TerniEnergia announced it was about to develop new industrial-sized PV structures of a combined 19 MWp in the last quarter of 2010.
