Tender for 1.5-GW of grid-connected solar launched in Madhya Pradesh - report

October 10 (Renewables Now) - Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Ltd, the developer of the 750-MW Rewa solar park in Madhya Pradesh, has launched three tenders for a total of 1,500 MW of photovoltaic (PV) capacity, Mercom Capital reports.

The company, a joint venture between the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) and Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (MPUVN) is seeking partners willing to install grid-connected solar plants at three sites across Madhya Pradesh.

The deadline for submitting proposals is December 10, 2018. According to a an official from Rewa Ultra Mega Solar, a single participant will not be allowed to bid for the entire capacity.

The largest portion of the targeted capacity, 550 MW, will be installed in Agar Solar Park in Agar district, while an additional 500 MW will be installed in Neemuch Solar Park in Neemuch district. A plant with the capacity of 450 MW will be constructed in the Shajapur Solar Park in the district with the same name.

All three projects will be developed and owned by Rewa Ultra Mega Solar.
