Tecta Solar to install 4.9 MW of solar systems in Massachusetts - report
Sep 23, 2011 - US commercial roofing contractor Tecta America's unit Tecta Solar has agreed to build 4.9 MW of solar projects for Blackbomb Solar in the US state of Massachusetts and has already installed the first one.
Tecta commissioned a 160.8 kWp rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) system in Worcester. The system is seen to produce 199 MWh of energy in its first year of operation, enough to supply 27 homes a year, green energy news portal BrightEnergy.org reported yesterday.
Tecta's local unit replaced the roof before installing the solar panels so that its life would match that of the solar system.
Under its agreement with Blackbomb, Tecta Solar is managing the design, engineering, procurement and construction of the solar projects.
