Techprecision gets USD-2.3m order for polysilicon chambers
Nov 8, 2012 - US metal fabricated and machined precision equipment maker Techprecision Corp (OTC:TPCS) today said it had secured a follow-on order worth over USD 2.3 million (EUR 1.8m) for chambers used in the process of producing polysilicon.
The order was awarded to the company's Ranor division from an existing "tier-1" customer. The products support an advanced polysilicon technology for the solar and semiconductor markets, the company said. The contract is expected to add to revenue from the fourth quarter of the fiscal year through March 2013.
In January, Techprecision said its Ranor subsidiary had won an initial USD-4.8-million order for prototype polysilicon chambers from an existing tier-1 client. The chambers were to be shipped by September to qualify production.
