Taiwan’s Gintech posts 7.5% Y/Y increase in Nov 2014 revenues
Dec 9, 2014 - Taiwan-based semiconductor and solar cell maker Gintech Energy Corp (TPE:3514) saw its revenues jump by 7.5% year-on-year in November to TWD 1.52 billion (USD 49m/EUR 39m).
The figure is 68.3% higher than sales in October, which stood at TWD 904 million, according to the company’s monthly sales statistics.
In the first eleven months of 2014, Gintech generated revenues of TWD 13.99 billion, marking a year-on-year increase of 2.1%.
Gintech, which was established in 2005, sells its products in Germany, Spain, Italy, the US, China, Japan, India, South Korea and other markets. As most Taiwanese photovoltaic (PV) cell makers, Gintech is also looking for opportunities on new markets after demand from China dropped sharply following additional punitive levies in the US.
