Swiss 5.2 MWp solar park to be connected to grid in Jul 2013

Jun 25, 2013 - A solar park located in Neuendorf, Switzerland, with a capacity of 5.2 MWp will be connected to the grid in July 2013, Swiss assembly systems producer Montavent said on Friday.

More than 20,000 photovoltaic (PV) modules have been installed on the roof of the goods distribution centre Neuendorf.

The park was built upon the request of Swiss retail chain Migros and exceeds the originally planned capacity of 3.2 MWp, Montavent said.

The solar park, which was constructed for less than four months, aims to save weight thanks to its aerodynamic design.
