Swedish Opcon wins EUR 1.9m deal for bioenergy plant expansion

Nov 21, 2011 - Swedish industrial technology company Opcon AB (STO:OPCO) said today it would supply machinery for the expansion of a bioenergy plant in Uddetorp, western Sweden, under a deal worth SEK 17 million (USD 2.5m/EUR 1.9m).

The customer is local utility Skara Energi AB.

Opcon will supply all the equipment for the expansion, including kiln, hot water boiler, handling equipment as well as a solution for flue gas condensation and cleaning to improve energy efficiency. Delivery is scheduled for 2012.

The expansion is aimed at doubling the capacity of the Uddetorp plant from the 2010 level of some 45 GWh produced from around 55,000 cu m (1.942 million cu ft) of wood chips.
