India’s Sterling and Wilson Solar Ltd (NSE:SWSOLAR) has signed a contract to deliver a 106.71-MW solar project in Chile.
The solar EPC major said the USD-62.6-million (EUR 53m) contract was awarded by a global independent power producer (IPP), but did not disclose the customer’s name nor project details in an emailed statement.
Sterling and Wilson expects to begin work in the fourth quarter of 2021.
The company said the latest order represents its fifth project in Latin America and fourth in Chile. Sterling and Wilson is also present in Argentina.
More recently, Sterling and Wilson was named as the full EPC contractor for one of two upcoming solar photovoltaic (PV) projects developed by Ireland’s Mainstream Renewable Power in Chile.
