Spot price for solar modules rises 0.17% W/W - EnergyTrend
Oct 29, 2014 - The solar module spot price went up by 0.17% to an average of USD 0.578 (EUR 0.454) per watt during the week through October 29, according to EnergyTrend’s latest data.
The price for China-made solar cells rose by 0.31% to USD 0.319/W, while the one for units manufactured in Taiwan decreased by 0.9% to USD 0.332/W.
Meanwhile, the price for both multi-crystalline silicon (multi-Si) and mono-crystalline silicon (mono-Si) wafers declined by 0.55% and 0.59%. In particular, multi-Si wafers were sold for an average of USD 0.900 per 156-sq-mm piece, while mono-Si units of the same size traded at USD 1.173.
The average spot price per 1 kg of polysilicon, a crucial raw material for most photovoltaics, was flat at USD 20.700.
