Spain's STI Norland to supply solar trackers for 78.4-MWp PV project in Brazil

STI Norland trackers in Brazil

February 16 (Renewables Now) - Spanish solar trackers manufacturer STI Norland will supply its equipment for a 78.4-MWp photovoltaic (PV) project in Brazil.

The company signed an agreement with the customer, asset management firm Perfin, to send STI-H250 dual-row trackers for the Brigida project.

According to STI Norland, the project will represent a Brazilian debut for dual-row trackers.

The Brigida site is located in the municipality of Sao Jose do Belmonte, in the state of Pernambuco.

Beside supplying and installing the trackers, STI Norland will also perform pull-out tests, run qualification and installation programmes, assembly supervision, and provide operations and maintenance (O&M) training, the firm said in the press release.

During its five-year presence in the Brazilian market, STI Norland has sold 62,000 solar trackers for 160 projects.
