Independent solar power producer (IPP) Sonnedix Power Holdings Ltd said it has finalised the acquisition of a portfolio consisting of 11.4 MW of solar PV farms in Italy.
The transaction was closed with the seller, Swiss real estate and solar energy investor ZHC Holding AG, for an undisclosed amount.
Sonnedix was handed ownership of ten ground-mounted solar farms located in Tuscany and Apulia. The plants have been in operation since 2010-2012, with all benefiting from Italy’s Conto Energia feed-in-tariff regime, the IPP said.
“We are delighted to continue growing our solar platform in Italy, where we currently have 148 projects in operations, totalling almost 318 MW”, Sonnedix CEO Axel Thiemann said in a statement.
