December 17 (Renewables Now) - Sonnedix Power Holdings Ltd has added 38.2 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) capacity to its business in Spain through recent acquisitions of two portfolios of operating assets.
The larger of the two portfolios consists of 21 solar parks totalling 26.9 MW, the independent solar power producer said on Tuesday. Sonnedix bought it from an unnamed asset manager in early December.
The second portfolio was acquired from London-based investment fund Perwyn in late November. It contains nine operating PV parks with a combined capacity of 11.3 MW.
Madrid-based Aurea Capital Partners was involved as the investment manager and partner in both portfolios. Sonnedix stated that they comprise rooftop, greenhouse and ground-mounted solar power plants spread across high irradiation regions of Spain.
With the new 38.2 MW of solar under its belt, Sonnedix’s total operating capacity in Spain has hit 252 MW.
