August 25 (Renewables Now) - Solar windows maker ClearVue Technologies Ltd (ASX:CPV) has so far raised AUD 2.56 million (USD 1.8m/EUR 1.55m) through the placement of ordinary shares, it announced today.

The company has issued 26,973,260 fully paid ordinary shares at AUD 0.095 apiece to professional and sophisticated investors and expects to place a further 315,000 on or about August 28.

When announcing the placement earlier this month, the Australian smart building materials manufacturer said it will use the proceeds to speed up the commercialisation of its patent solar photovoltaic (PV) window technology. The focus will fall on the key target markets of North America, Germany and Australia, it noted.
