Germany’s second solar power tender resulted in 33 winning bids for ground-mounted systems with a combined capacity of a bit over 159.7 MW, the Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagetur) said Thursday.
More time is needed for the power sale rates to be calculated as the tender was structured under the uniform clearing price concept. For sure, bids could not exceed EUR 0.1118 (USD 0.125) per kWh.
More details on the pricing of the contracts will be available in September. Now the shortlisted developers need to pay security deposits for their projects.
The 150-MW solar power tender was more than three times oversubscribed, having received 136 bids for a combined capacity of 558 MW.
Germany’s pilot photovoltaic (PV) capacity auction ended in April, using the pay-as-bid model. It resulted in 25 winning bids with a total capacity of 156.97 MW at an average power sale rate of EUR 0.0917 per kWh.
