Solar co R.Power seeks to raise funds from new minority investor

Polish solar project developer and power producer R.Power SA hopes to attract a new minority investor through the launch of a primary equity capital raise, it announced on Wednesday.
The company said in a statement it has hired Morgan Stanley & Co International Plc to provide financial advice on the contemplated transaction. It intends to use any proceeds raised in the process to speed up the next phase of its growth in Poland, as well as in Italy, Romania, Portugal, Spain and Germany.
At present, R.Power has 7 GWp of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects under development and a de-risked solar PV portfolio of roughly 800 MWp. The activities of the company cover the entire solar value chain as in addition to project development, it is also engaged in the provision of operation and maintenance (O&M) services and operates as an independent power producer (IPP).
