Solar cell maker Gintech boosts Sep 2014 revenue 23% Y/Y
Oct 9, 2014 - Taiwan-based semiconductor and solar cell maker Gintech Energy Corp (TPE:3514) saw its revenues drop by 22.9% on the year in September to TWD 1.05 billion (USD 35m/EUR 27m).
The result, however, is 21.3% higher than sales in August, which stood at TWD 869 million, according to the company’s monthly sales statistics.
In the first nine months of 2014, Gintech generated revenues of TWD 11.56 billion, marking a year-on-year increase of 7.2%.
Gintech, which was established in 2005, owns a solar cell manufacturing complex with a capacity of 1,170 MW, split between an 870-MW and 300-MW facilities, it says on its website. The company sells its products in Germany, Spain, Italy, the US, Japan, China, India, South Korea and others,
