SOFIA (Bulgaria), April 22 (SeeNews) – The Bulgarian stock exchange indices ended mixed on Wednesday while turnover on the regulated market fell, bourse data indicated.
The blue-chip SOFIX index, which tracks the 15 most liquid shares on the BSE, closed 0.32% higher at 499.18 points after falling 0.93% on Tuesday.
The broader BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares, was 0.17% up to 101.31 points after falling 0.42% in the previous trading session.
Turnover on the regulated market fell to 275,200 levs ($151,300/140,700 euro) from 1.7 million levs on Tuesday.
Drug maker Sopharma [BUL:3JR] was the top SOFIX gainer, closing 2.99% higher at 3.244 levs as 35,328 shares changed hands. It was the most traded blue chip
Car battery maker Monbat [BUL:5MB] led the blue chip decliners, falling 1.76% to 8.105 levs as 116 shares changed hands.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of the real estate investment trusts, ended 0.07% lower to 95.50 points after rising 0.50% in the previous session.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, ended 0.32% lower at 406.14 points after falling 0.48% on Tuesday.
