Jul 01, 2022 17:05 CESTLJUBLJANA (Slovenia), March 25 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's net electricity production increased by 1% month-on-month to 1,208 GWh in February, while total electricity consumption fell by 3% to 1,173 GWh, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
The output of hydro power plants increased by 60%, the output of thermal power plants fell by 13%, while the electricity production of Slovenia's sole nuclear power plant, Krsko, decreased by 9% as compared to January, the office of statistics said, citing provisional data.
In line with the lower production in the thermal power plants, fuel consumption in February decreased by 18%.
In February, Slovenia imported 701 GWh of electricity and exported 737 GWh.
