Jul 01, 2022 17:05 CESTLJUBLJANA (Slovenia), January 25 (SeeNews) – Slovenia's net electricity production decreased by 21% month-on-month to 1,177 GWh in December, while total electricity consumption grew by 5% to 1,275 GWh, the country's statistical office said on Friday.
The output of hydro power plants decreased by 46%, the output of thermal power plants fell by 21%, while the electricity production of Slovenia's sole nuclear power plant, Krsko, rose by 4% relative to November, the office of statistics said, citing provisional data.
In line with the lower production at the thermal power plants, fuel consumption in December 2018 decreased by 12%.
In December 2018, Slovenia imported 905 GWh of electricity and exported 807 GWh.
