(SeeNews) - Feb 25, 2013 - Slovak Geocel Invest and Energo-Aqua have secured government approvals to establish a 6-MW geothermal power facility and a 2-MW hydropower plant (HPP), respectively, SITA news agency reported.
Geocel Invest intends to inject between EUR 40 million and EUR 45 million (USD 59.6m) into the facility, to be located next to the village of Dargov, eastern Slovakia. Construction is expected to begin in the second half of the current year, with completion expected by the end of 2014.
The HPP is to be located near Svosov, a village located in the Ruzomberok District.
