Siemens to supply equipment for 6.5 MW biomass power unit in Poland - report

Oct 28, 2011 - German Siemens AG (ETR:SIE) has agreed to supply Polish power engineering group Rafako (WAR:RFK) with a 6.5 MW steam turbine and heat exchanger for the development of a biomass power unit at its combined heat and power (CHP) plant in Kielce, central Poland.

The unit is scheduled to start operation towards the end of 2012, Polish economic news portal wnp.pl reported on Tuesday.

The equipment, to be delivered under the contract, can operate along with an earlier deployed biomass co-generation unit with a steam boiler at the plant, according to the website.
