Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (BME:SGRE) said today it has won three orders in Greece for the supply of a total of 60 MW of wind turbines.
The contracts, secured in October, are from two local independent power producers (IPPs). One of the customers has ordered turbines for the 16-MW Kali Hitsa and 24-MW Litharoserma wind farms, both located in the Aetolia-Acarnania region. Siemens Gamesa will supply eight units of G114-2.0 MW for the Kali Hitsa project and 12 units of G90-2.0 MW for the Litharoserma facility.
To the other customer the turbine manufacturer will provide 10 turbines of 2 MW.
Delivery of the turbines is scheduled for the second half of 2018. Siemens Gamesa will also provide operations and maintenance (O&M) services at the three wind farms for 10 years.
The company has a presence in Greece with almost 500 MW of turbines installed and 241 MW under maintenance.
