Serbia’s NIS, Vojvodina Govt Sign Geothermal Energy Cooperation Agreement

BELGRADE (Serbia), November 17 (SeeNews) – Serbian oil company NIS [BEL:NIIS] said it has signed a memorandum for cooperation in geothermal energy with the local government of Serbia’s northern province of Vojvodina.

Under the agreement, NIS and Vojvodina's government will jointly draft and implement a strategy for the development of geothermal energy in the province and will carry out projects in this area, NIS said in a filing to the Belgrade bourse on Wednesday.

The agreement was signed on November 14.
