Serbia's Fintel Energija turns to cons net profit in H1

BELGRADE (Serbia), August 18 (SeeNews) - Fintel Energija [BEL:FINT], the Serbian subsidiary of Italy's Fintel Energia Group, said it swung to a 566 million dinars ($5.6 million/4.8 million euro) profit in the first half of 2021 from a 104.8 million dinars net loss in the like period of last year.

Fintel Energija's revenue rose 78% on the year to 1.284 billion dinars in January-June, while financial expenses edged up to 565 million dinars from 484 million dinars, the company said in its first-half consolidated financial statement.

The company recorded an operating profit of 719 million dinars, versus a 236 million dinars operating loss in January-June 2020.

In November 2018, Fintel Energija successfully completed the first initial public offering (IPO) on the Belgrade Stock Exchange since 1940.
