Serbia’s EPS, Dunav Osiguranje Sign Preliminary Deal for Solar Plant Construction
BELGRADE (Serbia), May 26 (SeeNews) – Serbian power monopoly Elektroprivreda Srbije (EPS) said it has signed a preliminary deal with local insurance company Dunav Osiguranje for the construction of 5.0 megawatt (MW) solar plant in the western part of the country.
The solar plant will be located in the mountain region of Zlatibor, in the municipality of Cajetina, EPS said in a statement on Tuesday.
No timeframe for the implementation of the project, nor details about its value were provided.
The project is part of EPS's strategy to meet the European Union target to generate 20% of energy from renewable sources by 2020.
