Scotland's ILI Group sells 50-MW battery storage project to Eelpower

October 4 (Renewables Now) - Scotland-based clean energy developer Intelligent Land Investments Group (ILI Group) said on Monday that it has finalised the sale of its 50-MW Fordtown battery storage project located in Kintore, Aberdeenshire.

The project was acquired by UK battery storage developer Eelpower Ltd under undisclosed terms.

“This is our second battery storage deal to conclude this month, taking the total of funded projects to 200MW. We have another 150MW that will be ready for tender this year,” said Mark Wilson, ILI Group CEO.

ILI Group says its team has been developing a portfolio of 3 GW worth of energy storage projects in the UK, distributed between 2 GW of pumped storage hydro and 1 GW of battery storage initiatives.
