R.Power awards USD 82m worth of solar EPC deals in Poland

Polish solar developer and power producer R.Power Group has contracted infrastructure firms Nomad Electric and Onde for the construction of 135 solar projects in its home market.

The contracts are tied to photovoltaic (PV) projects that are part of a 400-MWp portfolio, which R.Power secured in renewable energy auctions held in November 2020 and June 2021. The value of the awarded deals stands at PLN 334 million (USD 82.2m/EUR 72.4m), the Polish firm said on Wednesday.

The scope of the contracts covers services such as the supply, installation, construction and commissioning of the solar plants. The supply of modules and inverters is not part of the agreements, said R. Power.

Under an almost PLN-170-million deal, Nomad Electric will build 72 solar parks. Infrastructure contractor Onde, meanwhile, will be tasked with the installation of 63 plants under a contract valued at PLN 164 million.

The PV parks are set to be commissioned by 2023 at the latest.

R.Power has a 5-GWp-plus solar development portfolio in Poland and also has projects in Italy, Spain and Portugal.
