Romania's largest hydropower producer Hidroelectrica said on Wednesday it posted a nine-month gross profit of 681 million lei ($207 million/153 million euro) on a turnover of 2.28 billion lei.
Comparative figures were not available. In 2012, the company reported a net loss of 508 million lei.
In September alone, the state-controlled company recorded a gross profit of around 40 million lei, it said in a statement.
Hidroelectrica's output amounted to 11,336 Gigawat hours (GWh) through September. The company targets a total output of around 14,200 GWh in 2013.
The power producer exited insolvency proceedings on June 26, one year after being declared insolvent.
