RES files application for 12.6-MW wind farm in N Ireland
Sep 4, 2012 - UK-based Renewable Energy Systems Ltd (RES) said Monday it had submitted a planning application for its 12.6-MW Barr Cregg wind project in Northern Ireland.
The proposed facility is to include seven up-to-125-m (410.1 ft) high wind turbines in the townlands of Barr Cregg, Ballymaclanigan and Slaghtmanus. It is expected to generate enough electricity to meet the needs of 7,000 local households.
RES has wrapped up an extensive environmental assessment.
