REPORT - US adds 5.7 GW of large wind, solar in H1 2017

Large wind and solar power plants with a combined capacity of nearly 5.7 GW went online in the US in the first half of 2017.
Wind additions jumped by 65% on the year, while deployment of large-scale solar was down by roughly 4%, according to the latest data from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Some of the largest renewable power plants that have come online recently include the 178-MW Bloom Wind Power Project in Kansas and the 58-MW Procter & Gamble Biomass Project in Georgia.
