Dec 9, 2013 - Chinese firm ReneSola Ltd (NYSE:SOL) will deliver modules for two solar power facilities in the state of California with a combined capacity of 7.1 MW.
The Chinese solar products maker said on Monday it had won a deal to deliver 6.8 MW of its Virtus II 72-cell 300-W polycrystalline modules to Pristine Sun. It noted that about two thirds of the equipment has already been shipped. The solar park is one of several projects with a total capacity of 75 MW that Pristine Sun is currently working on in California.
In addition, ReneSola will provide its Virtus II 305-W polycrystalline modules for a 330-kW solar plant of LTS Energy, according to a separate press release from Friday. The photovoltaic (PV) station will be built for local farm Ranch 41 in Fallbrook, northern San Diego County.
At the end of last week, ReneSola reported a preliminary net loss of USD 200.3 million (EUR 146m) for the third quarter of 2013 as compared to a USD-78.6-million deficit a year ago. Revenues rose to USD 419.3 million from USD 218.2 million a year ago, with shipments of modules and wafers standing at 851 MW.
