Jun 18, 2014 - The average spot price for photovoltaic (PV) modules in the week ending today dropped by 1.67% week-on-week to USD 0.588 (EUR 0.43) per watt, according to fresh data by Taiwan-based EnergyTrend.
The highest price for solar modules was USD 0.90/W and the lowest reached USD 0.53/W. At the same time, PV inverter spot prices remained flat at USD 0.182/W.
For solar cells the average spot price in the June 12-18 week was USD 0.365 per watt, which is 1.08% less than a week earlier. The highest price for PV cells was USD 0.50 and the lowest was USD 0.31.
Multi-crystalline silicon (multi-Si) wafers were selling at an average USD 0.981 for a 156-sq-m piece, down by 0.51% on the preceding week. The average sport price for wafers made of mono-crystalline silicon (mono-Si) also declined by 0.17% to USD 1.196. Meanwhile, polysilicon spot prices remained unchanged at USD 20.426 per kg.
